Job Summary

Cardno is seeking a Staff Scientist in our Seattle, WA office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
> Groundwater and stormwater monitoring and sampling
> Obtain depth to water measurements
> Prepare laboratory chain of custodies
> Experience in performing underground storage tank site assessment activities preferred
> Operate and maintain soil and groundwater remediation systems
> Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems
> Collect vapor and water samples
> Compile data collected from site locations
> Assist in performing pilot testing of remedial technologies
> Prepare routine correspondence, data reports, standardized documents and work plans for internal and client review
> Oversight of contractors and field staff

Other Requirements
Basic qualifications:
> Minimum 5 years related experience, or 2 years and associated bachelor's degree
> Must be able to work in an environment where safety is at the forefront of all operations
> Experience with managing short-term remediation events and operate testing equipment such as PIDs, LELs, and submersible pumps
> Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
> Must have attention to detail and be able to work independently
> Valid/current driver's license
> 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred
* Please Note that selected candidates will be required to pass a drug, background and reference screening.
