Financial Assistant, USAID/ Mexico Civil Society Activity, Mexico

Proposal Objective
The purpose of this Task Order is to strengthen the capacity of Intermediate Support Organizations (ISOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Mexico, which includes USAID/Mexico’s current local partners, to enhance aid effectiveness and to improve strategic alliances with the private sector that promote USAID/Mexico’s development objectives. The period of performance is four years.
Position Description:
SI is seeking a Financial Assistant for the USAID/Mexico Civil Society Activity to support the Director of Finance and Administration in ensuring transparent and efficient financial management of the project. This position will be full-time and based in Mexico.
**Please note: This is a local position. Only Mexican citizens will be considered
Responsibilities:
  • Support the Director of Finance and Administration with daily administrative duties.
  • Serve as administrator for petty cash, work with finance team to conduct reconciliations and spot checks.
  • Ensure payments to vendors are made in a timely manner.
  • Support staff payroll administration, identify local service providers as necessary.
  • Maintain up to date project files.
  • Collect data to support financial reporting to USAID.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or relevant field required.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in project financial management.
  • Demonstrated experience with donor funded projects highly preferred.
  • Proficiency using MS Office and excellent writing skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required.
