MENTAL HEALTH AND CARE PRACTICES EXPERT - BANGLADESH

Length of contract: 5 months starting from September1st, 2016
The Position: The Mental Health & Care Practices (MHCP) Expert will have to provide high quality technical support in the areas of MHCP and protection sectors, especially in Cox’s Bazar operations and wider mission level, as needed. More precisely, the main responsibilities will be to:
Contribute to definition of the country strategy, and definition of the strategy and positioning of the MHCP technical department as well as protection as core thematic
· Lead the development and supervise the implementation of mission’s MHCP & protection strategies with respect to Coxs Bazar, within the missions 5 year strategy.
· Ensure systematic analysis and monitoring of the context, by him/ her-self and the field teams, and ensure inferences are communicated to the rest of the teams
· Ensure participatory design of projects & its components, together with partner organizations in upcoming project cycles.
Support implementation of programme and provide technical support to the team for activities implementation in Cox’s Bazar**
· To provide technical support for the Deputy Program Manager/Program Manager & sharing of information or alerts with the Field Coordinator
· For providing specific training to the MHCP and other department staff on MH, CP and technical topics
· Leading the development of integrated and standalone sections of the MHCP components in project proposals/reports, together with DPMs, other department teams /heads, partners.
Guarantee the quality and accountability of the projects
· For the technical conformity of the programs with the rules, strategic orientations and international technical standards, the contractual documents and the technical works of ACF
· Design appropriate M&E indicators and systems, together with the M&E team and integrate it in project cycle management
Support Field Coordinator in the management of MHCP team
· To support Field Coordinator in the dimensioning and recruitment of his/her team
· To support the Field Coordinator in the operational and/or hierarchical management of his/her team
Participate in internal/external coordination and ensure timely reporting on programs
· Ensure constant Monitoring & Evaluation of the mental health programs (staff performance, data collection and analysis) in the camps (significant field presence is expected).
· To set up networking with possible partners in the field and at the central level: according to the needs, to develop contact with others organizations and/or individuals for a/ potential referrals of the beneficiaries, b/ potential further recruitment in mental health and care practices in Bangladesh, c/ developing a good understanding of the mental health and care practices policies and practices in Bangladesh, etc.
The Applicant: You hold a master degree in psychology or psychiatry, and demonstrate both successful clinical and humanitarian field experiences in mental health and care practices in a similar position.
You have got experience in research and research dissemination, knowledge or expertise on family development methodology/approach.
Recognized for your capacity in training, coaching and capacity building of team members, you also have a strong experience in proposal writing for donors and strategic thinking. You have got good skills in communications and representation.
You have got excellent oral and written capacities in English.
Status:
Gross monthly salary ranging from €1805 to €2305 depending on relevant experience
