Wärtsilä Industrial Operations, Research & Development is looking Manager, New Technologies for a new position in Netherlands to coordinate local research and technology development projects.

Position description	As a Manager, New Technologies, your main role will be to lead the new technology development and research related to propulsion products. Your role includes also active role in securing the good cooperation to local universities and authorities.
Responsibilities	Manager, New Technologies is accountable for •Coordinating the local technology development projects within Wärtsilä Netherlands •Developing cooperation with global Research and Development units and external partners •Building a network / team and leading an inspiring personnel within New Technologies and Innovation in Wärtsilä Netherlands Manager, New Technologies is responsible for •Initiating and coordinating selected national and international researches projects •Developing and implementing local processes and operations within New Technology function •Developing technology strategy and roadmaps on specified areas and executing the new technology development projects according to the strategy •Technology screening and monitoring
Requirements	•M.Sc, Ph.d or similar education •5- 10 years workexperience •Proven experience in different funding instruments •Innovative mindset •Good research network contacts •Propulsion system knowledge •Managerial experience •Excellent communication skills •Analytical skills and fact-based decision making skills •Good project management skills •Comfortable working in a multicultural environment • “Can do” attitude, willingness to take own initiative
