Accounts Specialist E&F Services - Settlement Operations


Reporting to the Manager, E&F Services, Settlement Operations the incumbent will be responsible for the secure and on-time delivery of high quality financial settlement services and the accounting and control over the financial transactions for the Enhancement & Financing Service.


Ensure that high quality invoice collection and settlement services are delivered to ATCs and Airport customers accurately and with utmost operational integrity;
Manage a portfiolio of clients in delivering the core settlement services:
Track receivables through preparation and submisison of billing files to IATA’s settlement systems;
Accounts payments and transactions to client accounts, including FX adjustment, short-payments, and miscelleanous adjustments;
Perform daily banking reconciliations;
Prepare and submit payments for execution;
Ensure the revenues are accounted and reconcilied with the HO;
Pro-actively manage the accounts receivable to drive continuous improvement in the collection ratio and service performance, including following-up with delinquent debtors and bankrupt airlines;
Strengthen the operational procedures to assure proper operation of internal control systems and procedures, in compliance with internal audit. In particular, ensure user guides are up to date and compliant with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);
Assure high quality support to ATC/Airports clients, airlines and operators; ensure timely and accurate response to their requests;
Report to and support the Manager E&F Services, Settlement Operations in various operational and customer related projects in order to achieve the operational and financial objectives.


Academic degree / Master related in accounting, business management and/or financial discipline;
5-7 years of experience in managing Accounts Payable/ Accounts receivable with high volumes of receivable and transactions in a strong control environment;
Experience with international payments, credit collection, bookkeeping, and accounting. E-banking and/or banking environment would be an asset;
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, strong internet, database management and SAP knowledge are required.
Hands-on experience in implementing and project managing new business processes in a change environment;
Excellent organizational and communication skills;
Ability to think “outside the box” and challenge the current way of working in order to drive for continuous process improvement.
Service oriented and comfortable in dealing with people from different levels and cultural backgrounds.
Able to meet strict deadlines while maintaining high service quality standards;
Fluent in English (written and spoken), communication skills in other languages, in particular French, would be an asset.
