Minimum requirements
• A Doctorate in Architecture and/or Building Sciences or evidence of built environment orientated postdoctoral research or relevant equivalent qualification
• Significant teaching experience of technology based subjects, research and/or industrial experience will be required
• A proven track record of research, publications and Masters or Doctorate supervision

Core functions
• Involvement in research and innovation (publications and presentations), supervision of postgraduate students and writing research proposals for funding
• Involvement in the development of research capacity in the department
• Presenting a limited number of lectures
• Participation in community service projects
• Industry liaison and involvement in the development of a new curriculum
