Minimum Requirements
• A relevant Doctorate degree in Fashion Design or equivalent qualification
• Significant teaching, research and/or industrial experience in Fashion Design
• A proven track record of research, publications and masters or doctorate supervision
• Engagement in community projects would be an advantage
• Managerial experience will be advantageous


Key Performance Areas:
• Heads of department are academic leaders, responsible for academic, research and technological excellence and the management of the department
• Presenting lectures and assessing students in Fashion Design
• Responsible for administrative tasks related to teaching and learning
• Participating in community service projects
• Industry liaison and involvement in the development of a new curriculum
• Involvement in the supervision of post graduate students and leading research initiatives in the department
