CHIEF OF PARTY/DEPUTY CHIEF OF PARTY, FOOD SECURITY, NEPAL

Tetra Tech ARD (www.ardinc.com), a leading international development consulting firmed based in Burlington, Vermont and Washington, D.C., is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified senior level candidates for a Chief of Party and Deputy Chief of Party for an anticipated 5-year USAID funded Food Security Program in Nepal.

Responsibilities:
This position will be Kathmandu-based with some travel to field offices located in Nepal. The COP and DCOP will be responsible for leading all technical, financial and administrative aspects of the program and will coordinate closely with USAID in developing, implementing, and revising the project’s overall field strategy. The COP/DCOP will be the principal link between USAID, Tetra Tech ARD, and other partner and provide overall strategic and technical guidance to subcontractors and grant recipients. The COP/ DCOP will provide comprehensive expert technical oversight and guidance in all aspects of the program, including monitoring and evaluation, and reporting to USAID.

COP Qualifications:
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant technical experience in a relevant field preferably in South Asia.
• A minimum of 5 years experience direct supervision of professional and support staff
• Experience with USAID-funded food security programs preferred
• Knowledgeable and experienced regarding local government and community development projects, planning, design, development, management, financial analysis, implementation and performance-based monitoring and reporting of USAID-supported programs and activities
• Proven ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships with counterparts, other implementers and international organizations and donors;
• Minimum Masters degree in a relevant field

DCOP Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience in a relevant field preferably in South Asia.
• Experience with USAID-funded food security, agriculture or rural development programs preferred
• A minimum of 5 years experience direct supervision of professional and support staff
• Proven leadership and organizational skills managing large and disparate work teams.
• Broad technical experience with food security
• Ability to maneuver in sensitive political environments;
• Minimum Masters degree in a relevant field
