Crossrail Chief Executive
Crossrail is a major new rail link through London, running from Maidenhead and Heathrow in the West to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the East, providing direct connections between the major business centres of Heathrow, the West End, the City and Docklands. This £14.5 billion investment is currently the largest construction project in Europe and will employ up to 14,000 people at peak. The Role:
- Be accountable to the Board and the Project Sponsors (the Department for Transport and Transport for London) for delivery of the new railway on time, on budget and to specification.
- Lead and develop a highly professional and effective delivery team.
- Engage and consult with a wide range of stakeholders, to maintain and enhance overall support for the project through to completion and beyond.
The Profile:
- A well respected and commercially astute board-level leader who can set the strategic agenda and manage its implementation, drawing upon a broad-based understanding of all key business disciplines.
- A proven track record in the management and successful delivery of multi-billion pound, complex projects, in high-profile situations involving multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communications skills, combined with a reputation for building strong and effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
