The Role:
• To be a Member of the Corporate Management Team, working closely with elected Members and the Chief Executive as a trusted advisor on all matters concerned with the economy and policy development more generally.
• Lead the production of all economic, social and demographic data including the national accounts and the census.
• Interface with external partners such as the European Union and provide leadership and guidance on key projects, policies and strategies.
The Candidate:
• An accomplished economist with considerable experience of macro economic analysis and policy development relevant to a small national Government.
• Appreciation of working within a high profile political environment and understanding of senior management challenges.
• High levels of personal integrity, strong communication skills and a genuine interest in the Falkland Islands and their development.
