Group Internal Auditor
Pretoria

This role requires the ability to provide strategic direction, manage and execute the internal audit function within the SAFCOL group and the management of co-sourced partners. As Chief Audit Executive, this position reports to the Audit and Risk committee.

The successful candidate is required to be a Chartered Accountant (SA) or BCom (Hons) plus CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) and an active member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) or Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), with at least 8 years' auditing experience (of which 3 to 4 years should have been at senior management level). A strong agricultural/manufacturing/production background will be an advantage and experience in utilising audit software and data analytical tools used to enhance efficiencies in the audit process will be essential. Strong management and leadership skills and knowledge of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations and guidelines are required, as is a deep understanding and knowledge of risk management, internal control and corporate governance. A valid unendorsed driver's licence is required to travel, including visits to Mozambique.
