£28,555 - £30,012, plus 6% pension contribution

War on Want is a dynamic organisation working in partnership with people across the developing world. War on Want’s International Programmes Department works to change people’s lives in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

We are seeking a person with extensive practical experience in international development programmes, preferably in rural development. You will be responsible for leading our Food Justice programme, managing and maximising the relationships with partner organisations in developing countries and with key donors, producing high quality funding submissions and reports.

You will have three years’ experience of working with overseas projects/programmes, a proven track record in writing funding submissions and reporting to donors (e.g. DFID, EU, Irish Aid, Comic Relief, trusts and foundations), and experience in managing complex budgets.

You must be fluent in Portuguese or Spanish and be able to draw on strong analytical, research and writing skills. You must also enjoy working in a diverse team and contributing to team strategy and development.
