SENIOR ANALYST: DOMESTIC DEBT OPERATIONS

Purpose of the position: To settle all financial market related transactions and provide accurate data in supporting the Government's Domestic Debt portfolio.

Key activities and outputs: * Financing of Government's gross borrowing requirement through settlements and clearing of capital market transactions on JSE and STRATE * Control over and final verification of deal calculations and the accounting of new issues, switches, buy backs, scrip lending and Repos * Control over reconciliation and payments processes iro the Government's total debt port folio * Obtain sound Investor Relations and broadening of the investor base * Management and administration of the Government Domestic debt portfolio * Assist in developing and implementing sound domestic debt policies and guidelines * Liaise with Stakeholders such as SARB, JSE, STRATE, Banks and Institutional Investors *Develop, enhance and maintain the new integrated Back Office system

To be considered:

* Degree in Economics / Accounting and other relevant Financial Market Qualifications.
* 3-5 years experience in capital debt management operations;
* In-depth knowledge and experience in payment and control processes;
* Knowledge of settlements in debt markets
* Writing and communication skills
