Salary: Market related Senior Technician, Mining Engineering Job No.: 698811 Division: AAPLC Kumba Iron Ore (South Africa) Site: SIOC Kolomela Mine Department: Mineral Resource Management Work type: Full Time Permanent Location: Northern Cape As a Senior Technician, Mining Engineering at our MRM Department, based at Kolomela Mine near Postmasburg, you will manage the optimization and improvement of mining processes as well as the effective utilization of these processes in order to achieve maximum value. You will be responsible for the development and testing of researched mining process ideas, the implementation, maintenance and application of an effective document control system and the planning, preparation, scheduling and executing of internal and external audits. Pre-requisites in applying for this position include 3-5 years relevant experience, as well as a code 08 driver's license. The successful applicant will be able to read and write English and Afrikaans and have good interpersonal relations, with the ability to operate under stress. A minimum requirement for this position is a B, ENG/B Tech or similar certificate (Metallurgical/Chemical NQF6 Level 7). It is also imperative that you will be declared medically fit for this position before appointment.
