Xstrata SA (Pty) Ltd Alloys, Rustenburg Works, a ferro-alloy plant situated in the industrial area of Rustenburg, currently has the following opportunity for a dynamic individual to join its operation:

Trainee Engineer (Mechanical)
Recovery 2 Maintenance Department

Responsibilities: All mechanical aspects at the Recovery Plant in terms of availabilities and maintenance activities will fall to this person. The successful candidate must also ensure that safety standards are met with regards to maintenance work on equipment and machinery and will be accountable for budget control.

Requirements: Candidates will need a degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering and ±2 years' experience in a heavy industry and planned maintenance in order to apply. Good knowledge of the SD system and computer literacy are also essential, whilst experience on SAP would be advantageous. Good communication skills and medical fitness complete the profile sought.
