The Vice President & Chief Program Officer must be able to present program strategies with the conviction and enthusiasm essential to attract the highest level faculty, presenters and participants, and to convince program funders that genuine value will be created.

Founded in 1947 to encourage intellectual re-engagement in post-war Europe, the Seminar has convened hundreds of seminar sessions, bringing more than 27,000 participants to its historic, 17-acre campus, including Schloss Leopoldskron – a palace built in 1736 for the Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg. During the Cold War, the Seminar provided a neutral space where East and West could meet and freely explore contending ideas. Over the past two decades, it has become a global institution, bringing together present and emerging leaders from all regions of the world and challenging them to develop creative solutions to global problems.
