Project Manager Mangrove Capital

Wetlands International is seeking an experienced and innovative Project Manager for Mangrove Capital, an exciting new partnership initiative on mangrove conservation, focusing initially in Indonesia but with relevance to the whole tropics. The project will bring together and mobilise dispersed knowledge and experience about mangrove values and will enable government and private sector partners to better manage their mangrove forests.
The successful candidate will manage a complex, multi-partner international project and leverage new partners and resources for pilot applications in the field. S/he will organise cutting edge action research on mangrove services and values, contribute to the design of new approaches for mangrove management and restoration and facilitate the integration of research findings into coastal policies and practices.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills and a relevant scientific track record on natural resources management, with a keen interest in coastal ecosystems. Based in the Wetlands International headquarters in the Netherlands, this position requires regular travel to the project areas.
