Engineering Academic Opportunity

The Australian College of Kuwait provides internationally recognised and accredited education and training to undergraduate engineering and management students in Kuwait.

Applications are invited from highly experienced engineers to work as Engineering Instructors to deliver Diploma Level qualifications in Engineering to Kuwaiti students at the Australian College of Kuwait (ACK), commencing 12 February 2012.

Vacancy exists for experienced engineering instructors in the area of engineering/technical drafting and the use of AutoCAD (Version 2009 or latest) with strong background in civil or mechanical engineering. Priority will be given to applicants with knowledge in most recent AutoCAD applications.

The essential criteria for employment as an Engineering Diploma Instructor at ACK are as follows:

• Formal qualifications in degree level, with an area of specialisation (mentioned above).
• A reasonable teaching experience in a recognized academic institution.
• Excellent command of English language, as it is the media of instruction.
• Effective communication skills.

Desirable:

• Master in the area of specialization.
• Minimum *3 years industry experience.
• TAE/TAA Certificate in Vocational Education and Training.
• Former TAFE / NVQ teaching experience.
