Based: Haywards Heath with regular international travel
Salary: £35,000
This exciting role has primary responsibility for providing organisation-wide leadership on capturing and communicating the impact of Sightsavers’ work. The post holder will contribute to the overall improvement in the quality and impact of Sightsavers programmes; this will include taking an active role in supporting the institutionalisation of Sightsavers’ Monitoring and Evaluation system.
The postholder is expected to promote and provide support to creating a stronger results focused culture within Sightsavers and manage strategies for building capacity of staff and partners at regional, country and Head Office level to assess programme operational policy, programming outcomes and impact. S/He will also contribute to innovations that improve Sightsavers ability to identify, communicate and apply learning from evaluations and impact studies both internally and externally.
Preferably with a masters degree in public health, international development, social policy or related disciplines you will have significant experience in designing project/programme M&E frameworks and ideally organisation-wide systems for M&E to include impact measurement and reporting. Experience of programme work alongside knowledge of current issues and best practice in international development, particularly around monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment and accountability is also essential. You must be willing to undertake up to 8 weeks overseas travel per year.
