What will I do as a Maintenance Technician?

As a Maintenance technician you will be responsible for completing all predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance work orders as detailed in the departmental work load plan generated by the Engineering Planner.

This will involve working in all areas of the brewery and provide an effective and timely maintenance service to operations.

As a Maintenance Technician what skills and qualifications will I need?

  • Recognised time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, ideally with a HNC as a minimum
  • Several years experience of multi skilled maintenance within an high pressure, fast moving manufacturing environment
  • You will also need to be able to interrogate PLC’s using a laptop, ideally you will have had exposure to Allen Bradley and Siemens control systems

As a Maintenance Technician what kind of responsibilities will I have?

  • Analyse condition based monitoring readings; determine, plan and undertake timely maintenance interventions
  • Recommend amendments to the installation maintenance plan in light of maintenance and inspection history
  • Develop and implement improvement plans for allocated equipment to increase efficiency and technical availability
  • Implement annual overhaul plans for allocated equipment
  • In conjunction with the training manager, coach and mentor operator maintainers and apprentices to develop their maintenance skills
  • Conduct bench overhaul activities on designated repairable components
  • Support other technicians as required on the diagnosis and rectification of plant breakdowns/malfunctions/restrictions
  • Accountability for withdrawing stock from engineering stores in line with the SAP procedures
  • Support Site Teams with compliance of Health and Safety and Engineering legislation to include HEINEKEN Quality and HACCP standards
  • Records/registers stop information into the CMMS system to assist in loss deployment groups and reliability improvement initiatives
  • Defines and standardises the optimum changeover processes
