This role will see you playing a vital part of the Integrated Planning team within Rio Tinto Iron Ore. You will be based at our state of the art Operations Centre in Perth, a capital city that is nestled between the beautiful West Australian coastline and the Swan River. This role will support the Manager for Integrated Planning Delivery in developing and improving the Integrated Planning Processes across Iron Ore. Responsibilities will include managing the business process management strategy for Integrated Planning as well as delivering on its roadmap to model, assess, improve and implement key planning processes within Integrated Planning, as well as across other areas of Iron Ore.
This role will also be the custodian for the IP process repository and will work closely with the RTIO Enterprise Architecture team. In addition, this role will be responsible for undertaking change management activities to support the roll out of process changes within Iron Ore, including at Pilbara site level, as well as to assist with promotional and awareness raising activities on behalf of Integrated Planning to increase understanding of the area, its processes and responsibilities across RTIO.
Key Experience
  • Experience in modelling processes using Process Modelling software (i.e. iServer, ARIS etc.)
  • Background in Business Process Management and Modelling using a recognized methodology eg, BPMN etc.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
  • Relationship building, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated change management skills with motivation to initiate and implement change and challenge the status quo
  • Facilitation of process mapping workshops, applying analytical thought and investigation to derive information
  • Enthusiastic and proactive

  • Experience of working in a business improvement environment
  • Experience in mining or other asset intensive industry would be advantageous
