Area Manager Transport and Property Cardno

Due to continued growth, Cardno is seeking a senior Area Manager to play an integral role in managing and overseeing the operations of the Transport and Property Business Units within the NSW/ACT Division. This senior role will report directly to the Division Manager and is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be a key influence in the success of our business.

The successful candidate will have the following qualities/attributes:

• Be a confident leader with a talent for inspiring and motivating others
• Ability to effectively communicate and cross sell business opportunities both internally and externally
• Demonstrated track record in transport and/or property within a professional consulting environment
• Strong financial and analytical aptitude
• Experience working within an engineering consulting environment in the NSW/ACT market
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environment with the ability to ensure the business continues to strive towards Zero Harm

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Develop and pursue growth opportunities for the Area, both organic and acquisitive, in line with Cardno’s vision and mission
• Promote relationships and cross selling opportunities internally across Business Units and Divisions
• Support the Division Manager in meeting the goals and targets of the NSW/ACT Division Business Plan
• Manage and monitor the financial performance and control of the Transport and Property Areas
• Ensure Business Unit workloads are completed in time and within budget
• Ensure the Transport and Property Business Units are following and monitoring the requirements of Cardno’s Quality Management System
• Monitor and evaluate the technical quality of work which is being delivered by the Transport and Property Business Units and ensure it is to a high standard
• Work closely with Business Unit Managers to ensure they are complying and following Cardno’s Health, Safety and Environment systems and procedures

Qualifications

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications with relevant experience in design; construction supervision and or project management
• Registered or eligible for corporate membership with the relevant professional association
