Gender- based Violence Specialist Afghanistan
Afghanistan has since 2007 implemented Gender- based Violence (GBV) projects as part of their Information Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) programme. Recent reviews of these projects have recommended that the projects should be examined and potentially partly redesigned, to ensure that the support provided is in accordance with the “do no harm” and Inter- Agency Standing Committee (IASC) GBV Guideline principles, and that it is in line with NRC corporate policies.
The primary role of the GBV Specialist will be to assess the current gaps, to follow up on cases and to identify solutions to such gaps and then train staff in these solutions.
