Technician II - Research

The successful candidate shall provide support to scientists and researchers for operations in the field and laboratory including laboratory analysis, collecting data and samples in the field and/or greenhouse experiments, and processing and grinding of soil and plant samples.

Duties

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of activities related to field and/or greenhouse experiments including data collection, plant and soil sampling, and sample processing (50\%)
• Assist in the preparation of materials needed in the greenhouse gas emission experiments (20\%)
• Grind plant and soil samples (20\%)
• Assist with preparation, weighing, preparation of solutions, and collection of data for laboratory analysis (5\%)
• Performs all other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervising IRS (5\%)

Qualification requirements:

• At least two years of college education
• At least one year of relevant experience
• Knowledgeable on laboratory operations and on field operations in rice production including the collection and processing of plant and soil samples
• Self motivation and the ability to work with scientists and scholars from diverse cultures
