Customer Service Representative Export - Safmarine, Antwerp, Belgium
Function description:
- Accept and process bookings in a timely matter
- Take responsibility and end-to-end ownership of customer shipments and issues
- Ensure error free handling of all customer service systems
- Engage in constructive problem resolution and provides solutions
- Act and communicate proactively and keep customers informed of any issues or changes to the booking
- Respond promptly to all internal and external queries
- Build a strong and lasting relationship with customers and provide second-to-none customer service. Understand what creates value for the customer.
- Address root cause and seek continuous improvement. Constantly look for ways to improve inefficient and erroneous processes.
- Minimize cost by not accepting unjustified costs and invoice extra charges to responsible parties
- Follow up on issues provided by the Vessel Reconciliation Department
- Follow up and meet the targets set in the KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
- Be able to work independently and assist the team in realizing its goals and standards – be a team player, share knowledge and best practice
- Actively engage in sales of e-commerce (e-bookings/SI’s and Web B/L)
