Intermodal, Equipment and Projects Manager - Maersk Filipinas Inc., Pasay City, Philippines
The Intermodal, Equipment and Projects Manager is responsible for delivering an error-free execution of inland services, ensuring sufficiency of equipment stock against export demand, and driving continuous improvement within the Inland Operations team in the Philippines.
Essential Job Tasks:
I. Equipment Management
a. Ensure availability of equipment supply that matches current and forecasted customer demands
b. Manage optimal stock levels by preventing build up of aging equipment and positioning of surplus equipment to demand locations or supply hub ports
c. Maintain and implement supply plan contingencies in cases of equipment shortages
d. Provide visibility of equipment stock levels to various stakeholders
e. Oversee the stable execution of out-fleeting tasks
II. Intermodal Management
a. Optimize the inland network infrastructure and capacities that fully support current and future volume requirements
b. Establish and maintain inland processes that deliver error-free services to customers
c. Negotiate and secure services from vendors as required by the Line in its daily intermodal operations
d. Continuously review and reduce inland operations costs through efficiency improvement initiatives
III. Operations Processes and Projects
a. Drive a Process Excellence mindset across the Inland Operations team
b. Monitor performance measures on various Inland Operations processes for continuous improvement
c. Ensure error-free and stable performance of Inland operations back-end processes supporting delivery of inland services to customers
d. Improve work force efficiency in Inland Operations through partnering with the Global Service Center
IV. Other Tasks
a. Provide adequate communication to keep various stakeholders informed of important development within the position’s area of responsibility
b. Respond to all incoming communications by the next working day or within 24 hours after receipt
c. Perform tasks that may be assigned in ad-hoc basis
d. Keep management abreast on market and competitor analyses or changes in operational and organizational setup that impact Maersk’s market status positively or negatively
e. Involve self in understanding work processes of other sections and departments and use knowledge to ensure efficient completion of daily tasks and identify further improvements within teams
f. Proactively advise any changes in your Job Description to be more reflective in your current job parameters
g. Comply with the Company’s policies and guidelines
h. Reinforce APM Group culture, values and reputation and ensure compliance with APM Group policies
Key Performance Measurements:
Performance against objectives will be measured based on mutually agreed KPI’s developed for the position. These will be established, agreed upon and aligned with the overall Country Operations Cluster Scorecard and the Country Cluster Business Plan. These are presently:

· Operations Cost Visibility and Accuracy
