Business Support Assistant FCO - Foreign and Commonwealth Office
Administrative support (80%): to proactively provide effective business support to the UKREP Justice and Home Affairs section.
- Immediate responsibilities such as:
- Booking travel and meetings;
- Overseeing section expenses and budgets;
- Handling IT support requests;
- Preparation of documents for Councils, working groups and other meetings;
- Management of office supplies;
- Organise inward and outward visits for Senior Officials;
- Inputting into the continuous improvement of the JHA business support.
Policy Support (20%): to provide policy support for JHA including through:
- Covering for desk officers where needed, including at the European Parliament, and providing timely and accurate reporting to London and posts;
- Arranging logistics for Ministerial Councils.
Qualifications
Relevant educational and professional experience is highly desirable. Applicants should have an excellent command of English (written, spoken and comprehension) and be able to operate in French. The successful candidate should have proven skills for delivering results, have an open and flexible approach, drawing on the skills and experience of others to improve results and enjoy working in a team. Microsoft Office IT skills are required.

This position will be filled on a fixed term contract.
Gross Monthly Salary: €2088.47 per month.
