Its shareholders are 24 postal companies around the world which account for more than 80% of the world’s mail volume. Its main activities are to study, develop, promote and provide products, services, standards and advice for the common use and benefit of its members in the normal course of their business. Members must be the providers of postal services, or their subsidiaries engaged in the provision of cross-border mail.
The Markets team provides relevant and reliable research and intelligence on markets that are crucial to the success of postal operators. With a team of experienced analysts and researchers specialising in industry intelligence and research, IPC is able to provide essential knowledge on trends affecting the strategic direction of the postal industry, while assisting postal operators in achieving profitable growth in the 21st century.

IPC seeks to recruit a result oriented Product & Carrier Intelligence Analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and production of Carrier Intelligence Reports & Statistical Database;
  • Supports analysis and publication of the IPC Global Postal Industry Report and Focus on the Future report;
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of data for IPC’s members, other postal operators, and their key competitors;
  • Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to management;
  • Manage ad-hoc projects;
  • Assist in developing market analysis content for IPC publications;
  • Provide data mining and analytical support;
  • Facilitate with IPC members and other industry players data collection and analysis.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in market intelligence and analysis preferred;
  • Graduated from university, preferably with a degree in business, finance or economics;
  • Highly numerate, strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills required;
  • Experience of application of data mining and statistical techniques a plus;
  • Able to extract, substantiate or challenge key facts and figures from annual reports and accounts and other sources;
  • Team player, able to work in an international environment;
  • As English is the working language of IPC, a high standard of both spoken and written English is required, other European languages a plus.
