Donor Communications and Relations Manager

The Aga Khan Foundation, UK is recruiting a Donor Communications and Relations Manager to lead the development of the resource mobilization efforts by securing matching co-financing for AKDN programmes from UK individuals, corporates and foundations.
Working within a small, dynamic, and fast-paced office with a highly committed and driven core team, you will be responsible for: Event design and delivery and development of a communications strategy and toolkit.
The key objectives of the role will be to:
• Develop and deliver a communications strategy to optimize positioning opportunities with potential donors and supporters
• Develop communications toolkits and donor materials, including gift guidelines
• Develop, organize and professionally execute communications activity and small events as best suited to positioning requirements for each package 
• Develop and deliver the bi-annual, volunteer-led Partnership Walk & Run (‘PWR’) event
The incumbent should have proven negotiating skills and ability to develop professional relationships across all levels of an international organization.  You will have experience in developing applied communications and relationships strategies; Engaging in event design and effective delivery, including large scale events in public spaces; Soliciting resources from individuals, Trusts, Foundations and Corporate audiences; Working knowledge of UK fundraising protocols, and experience of community and workplace fundraising, including through sponsorship; Strong IT skills, including Office; Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator; InDesign; Photoshop) and gift databases, such as Raisers’ Edge
