Grants Manager Education Endowement Foundation Central London, United Kingdom

Grants Manager

Accountable to: Chief Executive

Salary: c.£42k per year

Location: Central London

ABOUT THE EDUCATION ENDOWMENT FOUNDATION (EEF)

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is an independent grant-making charity dedicated to raising the attainment of disadvantaged pupils in English primary and secondary schools by challenging educational disadvantage, sharing evidence, and finding out what works. Established by the Sutton Trust as lead charity in partnership with Impetus Trust, the EEF is funded through a £125 million government grant. With additional money coming from fundraising and investment returns, we hope to spend as much as £200 million over the 15-year lifetime of the programme.

The EEF offers grants to schools, local authorities, universities, and charities to test new ways of improving the educational performance of disadvantaged pupils. All EEF projects are set up and run as rigorous trials, allowing us to build our understanding of what works – and what doesn’t work – in narrowing the gaps in attainment between disadvantaged pupils and their peers. Any interventions that the EEF finds to be effective can then be rolled out using schools’ pupil premium money and other sources of funding.

By identifying the most promising ideas, testing them rigorously, and communicating our findings clearly, we hope to create a lasting legacy for millions of disadvantaged children in England and beyond.
