AMI Corporation is an international development consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC providing economic development consulting services to the private and public sector throughout the developing world in a number of areas of economic and social policy, including: agriculture development, competitiveness, monitor and evaluation, finance, workforce development and institutional capacity building. Currently, we are seeking candidates for and M&E Officer and a Program Associate. Both positions are located in downtown Washington DC.
 
Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer
Reports to: Senior Research and Evaluation Manager
Duty Station: Washington, DC
 
The M&E Officer will assist in data collection, entry, and analysis for OICI development assistance programs. She/he will be responsible for the development and maintenance of OICI’s M&E databases, including qualitative and quantitative components. She/he will work closely with the Senior Research and Evaluation Manager to draft M&E related reports, deliver presentations regarding M&E to donors and other stakeholders, and share key M&E information with OICI staff and management. Specifically, the M&E Officer will:
 
·         Collect, enter and, analyze headquarter and field-level data on program activities
·         Develop and maintain OICI M&E databases
·         Train field-level M&E officers on data collection and analysis to comply with donor-specific rules, regulations, and procedures
·         Liaise with field-level M&E officers to ensure accuracy and consistency of data
·         Collaborate with the Senior Research and Evaluation Manager to design data collection tools and instruments that monitor the impact and cost-effectiveness of OICI programs
·         Assist the Senior Research and Evaluation Manager in the planning and implementation of baseline and final evaluations and special studies
·         Assist in the development of program-level reports
·         Assist in the completion of other M&E related tasks as required
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
·         Master’s degree in related field (international relations, economics, political science, geography, or other social science)
·         At least one years’ experience in international development
·         Intermediate to advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS) required
·         Ability to travel internationally preferred
·         Motivated self-starter, able to work independently
·         Ability to multi-task with organization and composure
·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Program Associate
Reports to: Managing Director, Programs
Duty Station: Washington, DC
The Program Associate provides critical support to the Program Management Team by assisting the HQ and field teams achieve the project implementation goals.
·         Assist in managing project compliance with donors’ contractual and financial requirements. 
·         Assist in preparing and submitting required reports for donors and partners accurately and on time.
·         On a monthly basis, receive/review/analyze the financial reports from the field and partners. Communicate any over-under expenditure observations and potential implementation challenges to Program Management Team.
·         Ensure that all non-field expenses related to the projects are properly authorized and appropriate codes are correct before submitting to the Finance Department.
·         Develop a clear and comprehensive electronic file management system, which can be accessed by all HQ staff.
·         Ensure that proper and timely HQ support is provided to expatriate staff including to/from post travel.
·         Assist members of the Program Management Team with travel arrangements, as necessary.
·         Draft contact lists and chronological lists of deliverables for all projects.
·         On an ongoing basis, research and monitor literature and recent developments relevant to OICI’s projects, including review of professional journals, attendance at conferences and collection/dissemination of relevant information.
·         Represent OICI at professional meetings, conferences and other events. 
·         Provide overall administrative support for the Program Management Team, as required.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
