Project Advisor – Saferworld, Uganda

Saferworld is an independent non-­governmental organisation that works to prevent and reduce violent conflict and promote cooperative approaches to security. We believe that everyone should be able to lead peaceful and rewarding lives free from insecurity and violence.
We are seeking a Project Advisor to lead on providing high quality con­ceptual and methodological input for Saferworld’s Advisory Consor­tium on Conflict Sensitivity project. The project focuses on developing evidence-based advocacy and tar­geted recommendations to improve the recovery and peace-building impact of the key Ugandan Peace, Recovery and Development Plan stakeholders.

Requirement:

  • The successful candidate will re­quire at least 3 years' experience working on conflict prevention, peace-building or development is­sues, and experience and knowl­edge of peace and conflict issues preferably in Uganda. They will have a Master's degree in international relations, peace/conflict studies or similar discipline and excellent research and writing skills. Salary range: UGSHS 5,500,000/= - UGSHS 6,500,0B0/= per month plus medical insurance.
