Senior Communications Manager Ellwood & Atfield

Your responsibilities for the Senior Communications Manager will be:
  • Proactively source opportunities for industry communication and engagement
  • Work alongside public affairs to deliver policy-focused campaigns
  • Develop and maintain campaign messaging with research teams
  • Management and ownership of key communications work streams
  • Develop strategy and content for and execute through digital media
  • Design and organise briefings/ roundtables/ special events
  • Draft/edit of speeches, place articles; manage external copywriters
  • Develop communications plans that will ensure the long term improvement of the sectors reputation
To qualify for the Senior Communications Manager you must have:
  • Experience of communications planning and working at a senior strategic level
  • Ability to think creatively and in contributing to our strategic communications platform that encompasses membership communications, stakeholder engagement and campaigns.
  • A strong manager of staff and of communications planning.
  • Ability to work accurately and reliably under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent and proven written communication skills.
  • Awareness of media and political issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working in a team.
  • Fluent French spoken and written, high standard German a plus. (Note that your written work will be primarily in English)
This is a challenging role suited that is to an individual currently working for a Belgian or UK PR consultancy who is keen to expand their area of expertise to include all of Europe. Upon appointment it will be assumed that you will be stepping into the Director of Communications shoes in two or three years' time. This role will increase your communications skillset exponentially.
