Purpose of the job:

Within the Event Services area of the Meeting Services, act as central contact point and product manager for the bank’s Event Management System (EBMS) performing system and data administration and ensuring smooth running of related reporting tools and interfaces. Provide technical assistance and customer support services related to the Event Management System in support of the Bank’s business requirements.

Principal accountabilities:

• Plan, organise, coordinate and execute all maintenance and enhancements of EBMS in cooperation with other departments of the Bank. Develop project plans and budget in relation to maintenance and any such enhancements.
• Provide technical and system-related support services to internal users (service providers and event organisers at the Bank) and to external users of EBMS including the Meeting Services first level support function.
• Organise ongoing training and related user documentation and support.
• Manage external service providers in line with the established contractual relationships and agreed service levels and ensure efficient and high quality service delivery related to the Bank’s Event Management system.
• Maintain effective information flow to the Line Manager and within the unit.

Qualification:

College diploma or vocational training in IT, business, marketing, services, or related field.

• Strong guest and customer orientation. Reliability, tact and ability to prioritise workload and user requests

• Excellent communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken English and German; good language skills in another major language are advantageous

Work experience:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience and a clear record of achievement in the area of technical user support or service desk management, preferably in a multi-cultural environment
The BIS employs staff on both open-ended and fixed-term contracts. However, all new entrants are initially recruited on a fixed-term basis. We are also in a privileged position to be able to recruit any nationality.
