SCA Background
The Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA) is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian organisation working to assist in the reconstruction of Afghanistan. SCA’s interventions inside Afghanistan began in 1982. Today SCA runs four major development programmes within Disability, Education, Health and Rural Development and is one of the largest NGOs in the country. SCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Scope of work:
Responsible for the overall mental health diseases in the Hospital

Qualification:
  •     Graduate from a recognized  Medical faculty
  •     At least 3 years experience in mental health and training
  •     Ability to identify technical weaknesses and gaps in mental health corrective action
  •     Excellent interpersonal skill and ability to work and deal successfully in multi-cultural environment
  •     Excellent written and verbal skills are required in Dari, Pashto

Main Responsibilities: 
  • Provide curative services to patients according to EPHS
  • Promote an attitude of team spirit and a strong focus on quality
  • Provide regular and technical assistance and training on mental health care for PH related  staff
  • OPD of mental health patients
  • Develop good co-operation with PH departments or units
  • Do related job as delegated by the supervisor (Hospital medical director)
  • Counsel and educate patients, the family and community, in relevant areas of health
  • Reports monthly technical reports to the Hospital Director
  • Obtain specialized  assistance as necessary (consultation or referral)
  • Reports on achievements, activities, challenges and problems to the Hospital medical director
  • Any other required advise by Hospital medical director
