Position Description:
The Systems Analyst II (SharePoint Administrator/Developer)
will provide system-level support of multi-user operating systems,
hardware and software tools, including installation, configuration,
maintenance, and support of infrastructure and network systems. Analyzes
user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve
existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and
scheduling limitations. Identify alternatives for optimizing computer
resources. In addition, provides support on all aspects of FHI360’s
SharePoint environment, including: design, development, availability,
administration, performance, monitoring, support, and security.
- Support IT strategic initiatives at the server and network levels as directed.
- Provide Sharepoint trouble-shooting services for issues escalated beyond first level support.
- Design, create, configure and maintain Web Applications, SharePoint data Site Collections servers and other IT systems that support SharePoint (e.g., AvePoint Backup and Restore, Content Management and Administration; Metalogix). Deploy best practices address security concerns
- Monitor server systems, storage systems automate backup and restore tasks, and mission critical applications Respond to service desk requests in a timely fashion. Perform and ensure account management and provisioning functions, site permissions; develop, maintain, and enforce SharePoint governance policies; perform audits and manage all sub-sites.
- Use PowerShell to manage the environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing systems, including software updates, enhancements and bug fixes.
- Mentor and train support personnel in the use of standard and locally developed SharePoint capabilities
- Develop, document and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for SharePoint Administration, Collaborate effectively as a team member with database administrators, project managers and business analysts.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting Share Point for large multi-server environments
- 5+ years of experience with SharePoint 2007 and 2010, IIS, and Windows 2008, MOSS 2007, SP2010 Foundation, SP2010 Enterprise, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008,
- Experience in installing, configuring, and managing MS Office SharePoint Server 2007 and 2010,
- Experience in troubleshooting performance, security, and scalability issues in regards to IIS / Web and SharePoint applications
- Basic knowledge and experience with backup/restore, email, and performance monitoring applications.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to initiate majority of relevant tasks, specify and plan activities for task accomplishment, and notify supervisor of variances.
Desired Skills:
- Support MS environment (web applications, Windows Server 2003/8, IIS, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2000 / 2005 / 2008, .NET platform, Framework v4.x)
- Installing, configuring, and managing IIS Web Server farm(s)
- MS Office / SharePoint integration expertise
- Knowledge of database systems; database design, and database base implementation
- Must demonstrate ability to work productively with a wide range of people as well as ability to effectively present information to customers and senior management
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise on SharePoint
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Experience: MS/MA/MBA and 2 - 4 years relevant work experience; or BS/BA and ––5 - 8 years relevant work experience; or AA and –8+ years relevant experience.
