World Economic Forum Head of Africa Membership

The Membership team’s mission is to engage Members and other stakeholders, in particular from the business community, in Forum initiatives and events.
 
As Head of Africa Membership, you will:
 
  • Engage, manage and retain Forum Members and Partners
  • Develop a strong value proposition for the Regional Partner programme
  • Identity core areas of interest for Africa regional Partners and build up around them a year-long multistakeholder engagement programme 
  • Work closely with the head of the Regional Africa team and relevant industries to ensure synergies
  • Act as the main reference point for Africa business knowledge within the Forum
  • Leverage synergies between the Africa membership team and other relevant teams/initiatives in the Forum
  • Focus efforts on under-represented geographies, including West and East Africa, with a particular emphasis on Nigeria

Desired Skills & Experience

You have demonstrated ability to run projects and manage teams and possess demonstrated business development skills. You have a minimum of seven years of work experience with relevant exposure to the African business community. You have a broad intellectual background with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in business, international relations, public administration or economy. You have a good practical knowledge in the fields of government, business, culture and geopolitics in Africa. You also have a strong command of English and ideally French.
