Job Purpose:

To provide implementation, operational and maintenance support for the organisations IT infrastructure and to respond to and resolve technical support requests from users in an efficient and effective manner consistent with achieving specified services levels. To support ongoing project work.

Main duties & Responsibilities:

The IT Systems Administrator will administer maintain, support and improve
the physical and virtual server environment, the candidate will be expected to build physical and virtual servers according to Concern guidelines as well as provide support for file, SQL, Citrix and SharePoint services.
The Office 365 platform including Outlook and Lync the Active Directory Environment the backup environment which includes Veeam and Backup Assist the Network Environment which includes our WAN links, LAN, WLAN, webfilter and phone system.
  • Maintain documentation for all of the above
  • Provide Level 2 Helpdesk support for domestic and overseas users.
  • Provide peer and staff training.
  • Actively support and build the capacity of staff working in Concern's overseas fields
  • Assist and implement quality assurance and continuous improvement projects
  • Input and support on larger departmental initiatives and projects

Essential:
  • CCNA qualified
  • MCSE qualified
  • Experience working with PC systems and architectures, network and cabling systems, LAN, WAN, VPN. Windows 2003/2008 Server, Active Directory.
  • Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP and AV technologies
  • Experience in a network administration/ server support role.
Desirable:
  • Relevant third level qualification in IT.
  • Experience with Group Policies.
  • Experience with System Centre.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server 2012.
  • Experience with Juniper SSL VPN and VPN's.
  • Experience with Web-filters.
  • Knowledge of upgrades, trouble shooting, testing and maintenance of networks.
  • Knowledge of SAN technologies.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.
  • Knowledge of backup and business continuity technologies.
  • Empathy with the Organisation's goals.
  • Adaptable and resourceful. The successful candidate must be willing to travel overseas (to any of Concern's field of operations) and work flexible hours when needed including the evening and at the weekend.
  • Very strong customer focus.
