WASH PROGRAM OFFICER

The WASH Program Officer will work in collaboration with the Director of Programs to manage MWA’s multi-NGO WASH programs globally.  Responsibilities include:
Grants Management:
-          Ensure compliance with all donor requirements.  Develop systems for output and outcomes tracking; analyze data; produce regular reports on progress.  Draft and edit reports to donors.  Liaise with in-country Secretariat staff.
Monitoring:
-          Manage and execute the MWA MEL framework, including field survey design, data collection, and baseline/midterm/final assessments.
Evaluation:
-          Conduct analysis of field data to be used in program reporting, including qualitative and quantitative statistical analysis and narrative evidence from MWA programs
-          Provide quarterly reports on program metrics, such as deliverable completion percentages and program impact reports
Learning:
-          Conduct research and data analysis to develop case studies and field evidence of the impact of the MWA’s learning alliance.
-          Write and design communications to leverage program based evidence for advocacy and development purposes, including internal documents, narrative articles, and external publications.
Additional Responsibilities:
-          Manage and advise MWA programs on ICT4D tools
-          Assist with new program development, including new project design, background research, grant writing, and fundraising
-          Represent MWA at conferences and meetings; create presentations on MWA programs and research
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of international development experience or Master’s degree with at least 2 years international development experience — preferably in the field in a developing country.   Excellent research, writing, and editing skills.  Ability to travel (up to 25%) internationally and domestically and to work long and irregular hours.
Technical Skills:
-        Microsoft Office Suite – including preparing budgets and workflow spreadsheets in Excel and data analysis in Access, presentations and posters in Powerpoint. (required)
-          ArcGIS and/or other GIS systems. (desired)
-          Website design and advanced presentation software (desired).
