The Program Manager is accountable for ensuring the successful coordination, management and implementation of project activities in the Philippines are in line with The Foundation’s Country Strategy. 
 
Reporting to the Program Coordinator – Philippines in Sydney, you will be responsible for proactively managing and overseeing all programming activities – from needs assessments and project design to developing annual project plans and budgets as well as overseeing M&E processes. In addition to program management, you will also be responsible for directly managing The Foundation’s national advocacy strategy. This will involve managing key relationships with national provincial level government agencies to advance the eye health sector in the Philippines to bring about demonstrable change to eye health service delivery
 
Previous experience in project or program management is essential as is extensive experience working for an international development, government or community based organisation. You will have proven success in developing new project designs along with excellent project/program management skills, including effective application of M&E systems. Your ability to cultivate key relationships will be your strength - developing strategies and resources to influence, persuade and build the confidence program staff, partners and other stakeholders.
 
Fluency in written and spoken English as well as the ability to travel domestically will also be essential.
 
Please note that this position is initially a 1 year fixed term contract with the possibility of extension dependent on availability of project funding.
