Senior management accountant

As a key member of Christian Aid’s Finance Senior Management Team (SMT), reporting into the Head of Finance, and part of the Supporter and Community Partnerships Department (i.e. fundraising, communications and campaigning) SMT, you will help to deliver Christian Aid’s vision, mission and strategic direction, with particular emphasis on supporting corporate strategic and operational decisions by the provision of high quality financial analysis and information; oversee the financial planning and reporting for the organisation; acting as a Business Partner for the Supporter and Community Partnerships Department - working closely with the Director of SPD and SPD senior management team, providing analyses on income and expenditure and being the main point of contact on all financial matters. You will also be responsible for coordinating Business Partnering support for other departments (except the International Department), overseeing the financial and budgeting systems and leading the management accounting team (four persons).
To be successful in this role, you will be a professionally qualified accountant with significant post qualification experience including business partnering, budgeting, reporting, planning and analysis. In addition, you will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, being able to cultivate relationships and work collaboratively with key non-financial stakeholders both internally and externally. You will be passionate about Christian Aid’s vision.
