As Statoil’s technology centre, the business area aims to ensure commercially focused global technology development and implementation. Job description

  • Duties: The Senior Researcher Environmental Management at Statoil Gulf Services in Houston, Texas will review, follow and evaluate internal research projects as well as external research collaborations related to environmental issues for the onshore oil and gas operations. Will be responsible for developing research projects to monitor air emissions for onshore oil and gas operations. Will also perform research studies within the following disciplines: emissions management and monitoring, water technology development, chemical and waste management, and environmental impact assessment related to onshore oil and gas activities. Will work in multi-disciplinary teams to integrate research and development projects across business units. Will also provide technical expertise in devising strategic goals for the company's sustainability, climate change and environmental policy initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Requirements: Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related environmental discipline, plus three years of environmental management experience. Three years of experience must include experience with: USEPA regulatory framework and industrial research and development.
