The Kadirgamar Institute is a research institute dedicated to analysing Sri Lanka’s strategic interests. In keeping with the vision of its namesake, the Institute is to provide policy recommendations to the Government of Sri Lanka that are innovative, practical and progressive. The Institute’s Chairman is the Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The Kadirgamar Institute is at an exciting time of growth. It seeks high-achieving candidates for the following position.
Research Fellow (Law & Democracy)
The Institute seeks a Research Fellow for its “Law & Democracy” programme. The Research Fellow will (i) conduct policy-relevant research on global and national issues relating to justice, broadly defined, and (ii) manage related events and publications, and (iii) liaise with external actors to maximise research impact.
The position requires a dynamic and resourceful researcher with exceptional writing skills in English. Candidates should have a master’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Human Rights, or a related discipline. At least two years’ full-time research or policy experience, with an emerging record of publications, is essential. International experience is an advantage. Salary is negotiable.
