FOOD SECURITY AND LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM MANAGER - YEMEN

Length of contract: 6 to 9 months, starting the 28st of August 2016
The position: Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, your mission will be to identify and implement high quality Food Assistance activities which are appropriate and comprehensive, in conformity with overarching strategy and the standards set internationally by ACF.
More precisely, your missions will consist in:
  • Contribute to deliberations on strategy and the positioning of the FSL Department
  • Identify needs and contribute to the project elaboration
  • Set up, implement and report on Food Security and Livelihoods projects
  • Contribute to the quality, accountability and impact measurement process of his/her program
  • Participate in the coordination, representation and partnerships of ACF in his/her area of intervention
  • Contribution to the capitalization and technical development in his sector
  • Write de FSL section of proposals for new activities
  • Supervise and manage the team
The applicant:** You old a Master’s degree in Agronomy, agriculture, international development or logistic or other fields relevant to urban or rural livelihoods, at least 4 years of professional experience including at least 3 years in humanitarian international missions in food security activity.
You have followed trainings or courses specific to Food Assistance in humanitarian contexts (such as participatory methodologies, CBIs, surveillance).
You are known for your ability to Implement Food distribution program in emergency context, and your interpersonal skills (team management, Initiative and problem solving skills, flexibility & adaptability, autonomy, planning and organizational skills…).
You are able to live in sometimes solitary environment with significant restrictions on personal movements and willing to travel extensively to the field, under sometimes difficult and occasionally insecure circumstances.
You speak and write English fluently, Arabic speaking skills are an asset.
Status:
Salaried - Gross monthly salary ranging from €1600 to €1975
Food and hygiene expenses, per diem, transportation costs, collective accommodation and medical insurance
25 days of annual paid leaves and 20 days of rest and recuperation (R&R) per year
