Chief Director Investment Promotion & Facilitation

Permanent management level position in the Financial sector in Pretoria in South Africa (Gauteng).

Job Description

Duties:

• Take overall responsibility for designing, delivering, implementing and monitoring a National Investment Strategy.
• Design and manage an effective network towards facilitating investment in the country, which identifies both investment and facilitation strategies in the medium and long term.
• Define an external market strategy through priority market definitions and foreign office investment promotion programmes.
• Engage with local and foreign private sector companies within industry at executive levels and manage internal and external stakeholders. Effectively manage the financial and human resources in the business unit.

Requirements:

• A business-related postgraduate qualification
• A Master's degree will be an added advantage
• At least 8 years' relevant experience in the private sector or as a Senior Manager in Government
• Cutting-edge knowledge of the relevant economic sectors, as defined by the National Industrial Policy Framework
• The ability to forge partnerships with relevant public and private sector organisations
• A valid driver’s licence
