Job Description
The Housing Development Agency (HDA) is a national public development agency that promotes sustainable communities by making well-located and appropriately planned land and landed property available for the development of human settlement. As its primary activity, the HDA assembles State, private and communal land and releases it for development. The HDA also provides project delivery support services to organs of State at local, provincial and national level with a focus on informal settlement upgrading and project management.
The successful candidates would be performance- and results-driven and have a set of core values that is aligned with the values framework of the HDA. Both positions are based in Johannesburg.


Procurement Administrator

Key areas of responsibility: Reporting to the Procurement Officer, the incumbent be responsible for: * Database maintenance, including inputting, maintaining and updating the procurement database * Procurement verification and support, including analysing quotations received and verifying compliance with SCM policy * Providing support to HDA staff in the interpretation, implementation and procurement policy for purchases under R500K
* Vendor system maintenance, including loading and updating of vendors, banking details and BEE categories into the system * Contract compliance and support, including verifying documents received against contract checklist as well as following up on outstanding contracts and all relevant documentation * Bid Committees
administration, including scheduling BAC meetings, taking minutes, preparing and distributing BAC
packs * Administration and filing, including updating HDA website with all adverts, calls for proposal and proposal awards l Archiving successful tenders and proposals.

Qualifications, skills and experience: * A Grade 12 Certificate or similar qualification * 2 years' SCM experience
* Competent in MS Outlook, Excel intermediate, PowerPoint intermediate and Word intermediate * Competent at Accpac * Good communication, analytical and administrative skills. (Ref. IRS001)
