Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates for the following posts.
Associate Professor
MMU/IST/11/01
Successful candidate must have a PhD in any of the following fields: Finance, Accounting, management, Marketing, computer Science, software engineering, information systems or information technology plus at least three years of teaching and research experience at an institution of higher learning as a senior lecturer; senior research fellow.
In addition, the candidate must have published at least three papers in refereed journals or at least two university
level books in the applicant’s area of specialization since their last appointment as senior lecturer.
Senior Lecturer
MMU/IST/11/02
Successful candidates must have a PhD in any of the following fields: Finance, Accounting, management, Marketing, computer Science, software engineering, information systems or information technology plus at least three years of teaching/research at university as a Lecturer/Research fellow and must have published at least three papers in refereed journals or one university level book since her/his last appointment/promotion.
They must demonstrate ability to supervise postgraduate students.
Candidates with a Masters degree may be considered for appointment to this grade provided that they have six years teaching experience at an institution of higher learning as lecturers, have relevant industrial experience, and have published at least 3 articles in refereed journals since the last appointment.
Librarian
MMU/LIB/11/01
Applicants must be holders of a Master degree in library or information sciences. In addition, applicants must have three years post-qualification experience in a university or a large institution.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage and train staff at the university library.
Architect
MMU/ADM/11/01
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in architecture or from a recognized university. They must be registered with the Architects and Quantity Surveyors and have at least three (3) years post qualification experience. They should be familiar with the public tender process and have relevant IT knowledge.
Senior Secretary
MMU/ADM/11/02
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelors Degree in Secretarial Studies OR Bachelor of Business and Office Management OR equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution. In addition the successful candidate must have had at least four (4) years experience as a Senior Secretary Grade 9 or equivalent. Holders of Higher Diploma and
eight (8) years experience in Grade 9 will also be considered.
Senior Assistant Internal Auditor
MMU/ADM/11/03
Applicants must be holders of Bachelors degree in Accounting plus CPA Final OR CPA (K) and must have at least five (5) years experience at the level of Grade 9 or equivalent
Clinical Officer
MMU/DISP/11/02
Applicants must be holders of KCSE academic certificate or higher and a Diploma in Clinical Medicine from Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) or equivalent. They have at least five (5) years working experience at Grade 9 or equivalent. Evidence of continuing medical education will be an added advantage.
Nursing Officer
MMU/DISP/11/03
Applicants must be holders of KCSE academic certificate or equivalent or higher and a Diploma in Kenya Registered Nurse and Kenya Registered Midwife (KEN/KRM) OR Kenya Registered Community Nurse and be registered with the Kenya Nursing council.
They should have at least five (5) years relevant working experience. Candidates with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized University who are registered with Kenya Nursing Council will also be considered.
Medical Laboratory Technologist
MMU/DISP/11/04
Applicants must be holders of KCSE academic certificate or equivalent. They must have a Higher Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology and have at least five (5) years working experience in a busy hospital.
Senior Medical Records Technician
MMU/DISP/11/05
Applicants must be holders of KCSE academic certificate or equivalent and a Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology. They must have at least five (5) years working experience at Grade 7 or equivalent in a busy hospital.
Cateress/Caterer
MMU/CAT/11/01
Applicants must be holders of KCSE/KCE/EACE academic certificates and hold Higher Diploma in Institutional Management. They must have at least five (5) years working experience at Grade 7 or equivalent in an institution of higher learning. Applicants with Diploma in Institutional Management and have served in grade 7 for a minimum five (5) years will also be considered.
Head Cook
MMU/CAT/11/02
Applicants must be holders of KCSE/KCE/EACE academic certificates and advanced certificate in Food Production. They must have at least five (5) years working experience at supervisory level in an institution of higher learning.
Senior Housekeeper
MMU/HALL/11/02
Applicants must be holders of Higher Diploma or B.Sc in Institutional/Hotel Management. They must have at least five (5) years working experience at Grade 8 or equivalent in an institution of higher learning.
Building Maintenance Officer
MMU/EST/11/01
Applicants must be holders of KCSE academic certificate or equivalent and a Higher Diploma plus five (5) years experience in Grade 8. Bachelor degree holders in a relevant field who have five (5) years relevant work experience will also be considered.
Grounds Maintenance Supervisor
MMU/EST/11/02
Applicants must be holders of KCSE academic certificate or equivalent and a minimum of Diploma in Horticulture / Forestry or equivalent from a recognized institution. They must have at least five(5) years working experience in a busy environment.
Printing Superintendent
MMU/PRT/11/01
Applicants must be holders of Degree in Printing OR have Higher Diploma in Printing or equivalent. They must have at least three (3) years experience at supervisory level in a busy printing press.
Laundry Supervisor
MMU/LAN/11/01
Applicants must be holders of Diploma institutional / hotel management. They must have at least three (3) years experience at supervisory level in a busy laundry.
