International Rescue Committee (IRC)

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Kenya serves vulnerable populations in the Turkana region and refugees in the Kakuma and Dadaab (Hagadera) camps.

The IRC implements programs in the areas of comprehensive primary health care, nutrition, sanitation and hygiene and HIV/ AIDS.

Applications are invited for the positions of:

Outreach Specialist (Lodwar Based)

IRC is currently looking for an Outreach Programs Specialist who will provide technical leadership to APHIAplus outreach programs, improving scale-up/delivery of community outreach activities and targeting the most at-risk populations.

S/he will work closely with NGOs, FBOs, and community health workers to develop local interventions/strategies to address priority needs in HIV/AIDS, MCH and FP programming.

S/he will supervise the OVC/CHBC Coordinator, BCC Coordinator and District Community Coordinators. These Coordinators will liaise with NGO/FBO/CBOs to ensure that quality SBCC programs are implemented, provide linkages between community and health facilities, and ensure that youth-friendly services are accessible to target populations.

Hospital Matron (Hagadera Based)

IRC is currently looking for a Hospital Matron who will be overall in-charge of the daily administrative functions of the Hagadera Refugee Hospital. He or she will work under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Manager to ensure provision of quality services at the hospital.
