• Connect with journalists and media representatives on the ground.
• Connect journalists to stories about humanitarian issues and people in need
• Arrange interviews for key staff
• Capture story of American Refugee Committee‘s work in Libya
• Capture audio recordings
• Take photos of relief efforts
• Take videos
• Conduct interviews with people on the ground affected by the crisis
• Tweet daily
• Send current content to HQ for use with media, social media, and website
• Track activities and media work
• Other duties as assigned by team leader

EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• Strong media relations skills
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft software products
• Strong technical skills in using cameras, video cameras, and voice recorders
• Strong communications and writing skills
• Experience in living in an overseas environment
• Ability to work well with a team in an intense, insecure environment and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Fluency in English
