Occupational Hygienist
The successful candidate will implement, evaluate, control and advise Management on occupational health stressors and ensure compliance with the OHS Act through specific knowledge of the following regulations: Lead, asbestos environment, hazardous chemical substances and hazardous biological substances. He/she will calibrate and care for all measuring equipment, conduct health stress surveys, produce reports and plan occupational hygiene sampling programmes. In addition, he/she will ensure the working of the AIA laboratory at a high level of quality outputs, legal compliance and maintain the existing integrity as part of the risk control service delivery cycle. Recordkeeping, implementation and control of strategies and quality management will also be his/her responsibility.
We seek a healthy, energetic, suitably qualified person in possession of a tertiary qualification in Occupational Hygiene and at least three years' relevant experience, plus uninterrupted registration with the SAIOH as an Occupational Hygienist for at least the past three years. Bilingualism (Afrikaans and English) is also essential. A dynamic, self-driven, resilient and conscientious person who can uphold standards will be perfect in this role.
